An Ongoing Destruction: Day 3 of the Refugee Women project

The first activity of the day was a fun game called "Trait Swap", which was organized to attract participants' attention and strengthen relationships within the group. In the meeting room, participants swapped chairs according to certain characteristics. She helped them understand how the game worked with commands such as "All smiling people should swap!". Participants quickly switched places, identifying groups with various characteristics, such as glasses, rings, married, etc. The person in the middle tried to take the chair of one of the people who switched places. Participants said that they found the activity enjoyable and that it strengthened the bonds within the group. The game contributed positively to the atmosphere of the meeting and helped the leader to keep the energy high by saying "Everybody switch!" from time to time.

Afterwards, the Romanian group leader organized an activity where a presentation was made to better understand the problems faced by refugee women through stories of the difficulties experienced by refugee women. After the presentation, a question-answer and discussion session was organized under the responsibility of the Romanian participants.

Another activity of the third day was a visit to the refugee camp by the participants in order to witness the experiences of refugee women more closely. Participants interviewed refugee women to learn about the difficulties they experienced during migration, how they were welcomed in their country of origin and how they met their needs. In total, 48 participants interviewed refugee women and distributed the clothes they brought with them.

Then, in the cultural night event organized by the Austrian leader, the Latvian group gave information about the food, music and dances of their country. Intercultural interaction was ensured through this activity.

As every day, YouthPass certificates were distributed at the end of the day, evaluations were made and the event was completed with a leader meeting.
